Yes. Every Bill Wise account belongs to a registered law firm — even a sole practitioner registers as a one-person firm. This is what keeps each firm’s clients, cases and Bills separate and accountable, and it is enforced by the system rather than by convention.
No. You can use Bill Wise for the length of the trial without entering payment details. The trial begins once your firm’s registration has been verified.
Only the people who opened it or were assigned to it, together with those whose role covers the whole firm. Access is checked on every request, not just hidden from the screen, and it applies to reports and exports as well.
Yes — on the trial and on any paid plan. The exported Bill of Costs is already formatted and ready for filing, so there is no table to lay out by hand.
No. Bill Wise is a drafting aid: it applies the rates and does the arithmetic, and every entry and legal judgment remains the advocate’s to make and to review. The advocate remains responsible for the Bill as filed.
An active Bill is one that is currently being drafted or amended.
Delete or finalize a completed Bill to free a slot, or move to a plan with a higher limit.
No. Once exported, your Bill of Costs is already formatted and ready for filing.
Yes. Plans are billed monthly and may be cancelled before the next billing period. If a subscription lapses, your workspace becomes read-only rather than locked — your firm can always reach its own case files.
